Where do we find more voters!

Let’s face it.  The only way for any Democrat to win in this district is if we can convince Republican voters that we offer a better path to prosperity for all than their party.

And we do.

Our path is saving Democracy.  There can be no prosperity unless we have a Democracy.  Many people are too busy working to pay obscene prices for the gas they need to get to work.  Or trying to figure out what groceries they can afford for the week.  They don’t have time to study the issues at play here.

I started my political journey when Scott Walker was elected as Governor, and was horrified when he immediately cut teacher salaries, defunded schools, refused to expand Medicaid, and dozens of other things that have hurt our state, while raising taxes on those who can least afford it, showering the rich with tax breaks instead.

I watched the state get carved up into gerrymandered districts, thus ensuring Republican majorities for the past ten, and future ten years.

This is corrupt.

I know Fox News doesn’t broadcast the January 6 hearings.  I surely wish they would.  Because Fox is the bullhorn from which Republicans get their information.  And what Fox News tells them is a lie.  Over and over again.

It has been two generations in coming, but Republicans found someone corrupt enough, dirty enough, and opportunistic enough to, with the help of a television network, destroy Democracy.  I understand why many Republicans don’t believe the truth.

There are a lot of people out there who simply don’t believe that our Democracy is hanging by a thread.  I am asking you to look up “fake electors Wisconsin.”  The Republicans in our state government tried—and are still trying—to overthrow Democracy.  The only way to deal with it is to vote out Republicans.

It doesn’t mean you have to become a Democrat.  It means that you can try to buy some time to find better Republicans.  Honest people, like my dad was—and he was a life-long Republican.  People who have the courage to stand up for the truth, which today’s Republicans refuse to do, publicly, anyway.

I stand up for the truth.  I have spent a career caring about the health, education, and well-being of those with whom I have been lucky enough to work.

Vote for a better community.  Vote for your Democracy. Vote for Elizabeth Riley.
